Also called Water Knotweed and Amphibious Bistort. Alternate scientific name Polygonum amphibium.

Up to 3 feet tall. Native.

Flowers in "stubby " clusters of 1 inch. Individual flowers 1/8 inch. 

Leaves are narrow with sheath at base of petiole.
